I worked as a social media coordinator for Big Rock Vancouver from August 2018-January 2019. The social media accounts were still in their infancy, so most of my work went into establishing the Big Rock brand in Vancouver and growing their following on social media. This role was a fantastic opportunity to stretch my social media management legs in a fun and challenging environment. I worked remotely and on my own to develop monthly planning calendars, and send bi-weekly reports to my managers in Calgary. I also coordinated food and beer photoshoots, and generated and edited all of my own visual and written content.
When I moved back to Calgary, I had to leave the position as they needed someone on the ground in Vancouver, otherwise I would have loved to continue. I did end up working with Big Rock in Calgary as a brand ambassador and still have a great relationship with the company.
