With Google Adsense installed and accepted, I am faced with a dilemma: to advertise or not to advertise?
These days, I feel as though everything is an advertisement. I have to sort through my Instagram feed and must try to distinguish my friends posts from ads, to posts that contain paid promotions. Online, though they don’t jump onto my screen aggressively, thanks to fantastic adblockers that keep me from being spammed, I still have to sift through various tiny suggestions. In short, an ad is impossible to avoid.
One day, perhaps, I will want to monetize my blog. If more people begin to show interest in the content that I produce, perhaps that will drive me to pursue the option of bringing revenue onto my blog, but at this point, I honestly don’t think it will do much, and will probably act as a deterrent more than anything.
