Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival

I began my work at the Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival as a Sales & Event Assistant, with the primary intention of working as a food exhibitor coordinator. Throughout my time at the company, my role shifted to be more marketing-focused, as I was promoted to the role of Event Coordinator.

The position primarily entailed:

  • Managing the Festival’s social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram) working to grow following and engagement, including planning and reporting
  • Scheduling and booking radio, out of home and digital advertising
  • Acting as media representative for the company – participating in radio and television interviews promoting the Festival
  • Website management (WordPress) and maintenance
  • Email marketing including writing, designing and scheduling through MailChimp
  • Exhibitor coordination (ensuring AHS health regulations were met, forms and fees submitted, acting as positive point of contact for exhibitors, etc.)
  • Sales and cold calling potential food exhibitors for the Festival
  • Managing, training and overseeing temporary staff
